A very blustery day

All day the wind was blowing and since I live in a farming community we had a dust bowl. Roads were closed most of the day. A lot of accidents and fires happened because of the 50- 60 mile an hour winds. I spent most of my day preparing so that I can do a project a day for the next 30 days. In the next few days I will be posting my projects that I did finish so far. We'll see if I can get all 30 projects done. Have a great day!

Saving yourself in this bad economy

With the way the economy is and so many people in trouble I thought that I would give some ideas on what you can do since I have been down this road over ten years ago. There wasn't anyone then that helped me understand these things. Hope I can help someone. What some people do not know is that if you have a car loan for $3000 that is still owed to the loan company and you do a voluntary repossession  or it is just repoed  the car will go to auction and if it sells at auction for $1500 you will still be responsible for the other $1500. So try to sell your car yourself  for what you still owe on it and pay the loan off. Same goes for your house the options with the house is try and rent it out. Let someone else make your payments. Move yourself into a place where you can afford to live an apt or a smaller house till things turn around for you financially but be careful some mortgage companies do not allow you to do this and is written in the contract. Another idea is double up you kids in their rooms and rent a room out to a college student that creates more income. Hope this helps.

A fascinating ring

I wish that I could have gotten the picture to
download but it was such a big picture it was
taking forever so I just posted the link. I have
to give my husband the credit though cause he
is the one who showed me this ring and I
thought it was so cool so go and check it out
http://kinektdesign.com/   I think that this
would fit in the steampunk category.

Can things get any worse?

My car had been having problems it was over heating. Two weeks ago my husband and son put all new gaskets. Well it over heated again. I'm done i'm going to go drive it over a cliff. Like they say no good deed goes unpunished. I'm so tired of the hand that I keep getting dealt.

School of hard knox

Where to start? Three years ago I moved backed to my home town where I have several relatives that still live here. Growing up in this small rural community I remember how it was such a close knit community. Over the years fianaces have taken a toll, businesses have left and the town is not far from being a ghost town. The first year back here I went to the communities Labor day celebration. The parade had no floats, there was about ten craft booths at the park so instead of complaining about it I volunteered to help. Last year there were three floats in the parade and 26 craft booths at the park, which everything came together with only one month of preperation. Again instead of complaining how insane to wait to the last minute to get everything together I volunteered to start gathering volunteers together and plan for the event months in advance. We have now been meeting since February we have broken down the event into subcatagories and have a chairperson for each catagory (parade, dance, 5 & 10 mile run, etc.) My biggest problem is that there are people that are giving false information on a catagory that they are not involved in and I'm about ready to just throw my hands in the air and say I QUIT!!!!!!  I won't quit i'm not a quitter I just had to vent.

Spokane WA. Art and craft sale

My husband and I had a meeting/ appointment in Couer D' Alene ID today and on our way home we stopped in Spokane at the fairgrounds where thier annual Art and Craft Fair was being held. I invited several
of the crafters there to Warden Community Days September 4th, 5th and 6th. Jennifer Sumner  Designs she also has a blog spot http://jennifersumnerdesigns.blogspot.com/ . I also talked to the Polkadot Hippo who is working on an Etsy shop. There were a few booths from the Oregon area including one from Medford where i lived for 22 years up till 2 years ago. A lot of really beautiful crafts and art items.
