Busy Summer

It's been a real busy summer for me and it really won't
be over for me till after Labor Day weekend. You'll
understand once you get to read all my blog posts.
If you all remember I decided to step out of my
comfort zone and decided to try a tag swap. Art of
Marie had an August tag swap that I signed up for.
I managed to get all ten tags done and mailed to her
on time so she would recieve it by her due date. Here
are just a few of the ten tags that I got done.

These two are my favorites

Then these are the next in line

and here are two more.

We were suppose to use our srcraps to create
these tags. It was real hard for me but I think
they turned out ok. Hope everyone who recieves
one likes it.

Have a Splendid Day !!!!

Fair time in Grant County Washington

Our County Fair starts tomorrow here in Grant County Washington.
So many people getting ready to take thier animals, produce, crafts,
baked goods, preserves, photos, flowers, sewing and the list goes on.
Oh the memories of when I was growing up and how we would go
school clothes shopping the week before the fair so that we would
have good clothes to wear Fair week. I was involved in 4-H back
then and my bothers were invloved in FFA. That was many years
ago. So many ribbons won back then but since they have been mis-
placed and lost.
Tomorrow everyone will have thier perspective placing in the
catagories with thier ribbons attached so everyone can see who is
the best of show, and the smiles and happiness in those who have
won a ribbon for all thier hard work.
So today I begin with the produce that will be on display and
where it all started on some farm.
An Onion Field.
We will find some of these
on those famous
Space Burgers we all love
so much

Wheat Field  for some of those baked
goods that will be judged
and the Elephant ears that we will
be eating.

Corn Stalks in Field
Where i'm sure that not only
will some be judged but we will
be eating some corn at the Fair
too.

Grape Vineyard
some preserves were made
from this vineyard.

Enjoy Have a Splendid Day!!!!
Good Luck to all of you that take
your items to the fair so we can
be amazed of the work and
beauty of it all.

Entered a tag swap

What have I gotten myself into? I am one of the those
persons that usually plays it safe and try not to step out
of my comfort zone. Well I finally took a big giant leap
and entered a tag swap that Marie from Art of Marie
also know as The Pretty Paper Boutique is hosting.
I'm a little scared but excited too. The tag swap rules
are that you use your scraps and the theme is nature.
The size of the tag is to be 3 1/8 x 6 1/4 and no larger
than 4 x 8. I am to make ten tags all alike. I will keep
one and mail the rest to Marie and she will send me
nine different tags back. It will be neat to see what
others have created. So I have been working on my
tags this weekend and here are some butterflies that
I created to go on my tags. Enjoy and Have a Splendid
Day !!

Farm Town USA

Well as I have mentioned before I'm living in a small
farming community and the other day while outside
with the dogs a crop duster was out doing his job
and I managed to catch snippits on film. I know it's
not often when city people get to see things like this
so I thought I would post it. I know it isn't the best
snippit because you really can't see him dusting the
crops. He is about a mile away from my home
though. I will try and get out of town and get a
better video of a crop duster dusting the crops.
Most of these guys that do this job are the ones
you see at air shows doing those crazy stunts.Hope
you all enjoy watching it.

Have a spledid day!!
