HIMCR Challenge #58 Super Scrap Saturday

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope everyone is enjoying another weekend. Since we
have arrived on another saturday it means we begin a
new challenge at HIMCR. Challenge #58 is Super Scrap
Saturday. In my header picture is a card that I came up
with. All the papers that I used are scraps left from from
other project I have made so I'm not really sure of the
makers name......LOL... The stamp though is a Stampin
Up stamp. It always amzes me what some people can
create with just their scraps so we would really love to
see what you have created. Let us see what you have
created with your scraps by linking it up at HIMCR. The
link is below.
If you need a little inspiration make sure to visit the rest
of the design team.
Now remember you have until Friday, August 17th to
link up your creation to get entered into the monthly
drawing this week. When uploading to online galleries
please use code HIMCR58.
Hope to see what you have created linked up.
Until my next post Have a Splendid Day!!!!

Sold Sold Sold

Hello Everyone,
Hope you all have had a good thursday. It's been pretty
good for me. The temperature wasn't as hot here as it
has been the past few days. We are no longer in the
hundred degree range or the upper nineties for that
matter. With the weather on the cooler side today I had
the chance to visit with my cousins wife. We got to
talking about what we do all day since neither her or
I have a job outside the home. When I told her that I
spent my days crafting she wanted to take a look at what
I make. I noticed she was seperating the cards into
two seperate piles. After she got done looking at all of
my projects she asked me if I sold them. I went into my
story about selling them on Etsy and doing bazaars, as
she is going through her like pile. She picked four cards
that she really wanted. All the pictures on this post are
the cards that she bought.

and this one

and this one

She also asked that I give her a chance to look at any of the
new ones I make before I go putting them on Etsy. Then
the day got better she later told someone who told someone
else who then called me an asked if we could set up a meeting
she would like to take a look at my cards and anything else
I make she would if all possible like to put these in her store.
The bad luck streak I believe has broken now.
Thank You Lord!!!!
Don't forget the challenge over at HIMCR you have until friday
to join in. Link is below
Also the challenge over at NMWC. This one is a monthly
challenge. Follow the link below.

On fire

Hello Everyone,
Hope you have made to hump day. I got here stumbling.
In my header picture is  an applique that comes from
Littlebearsandladybugs Etsy shop. She has some really
cute appliques,  She is also having a sale at this time. What
a great way to add some umph to a plain shirt and right
on time before school starts. Here is the link to her shop.
So now to the reason that I decided to post a picture
of fire. If you have been reading my blog lately
you have read that  we have been on a bad luck
streak. Well the hits keep coming. Yesterday my
husband burned his left hand and almost burned his
face. His beard caught on fire and he had a butane
canister in his pocket that he did not realize had a
leak and that started on fire. Luckily fast thinking he
managed to get rid of it before it had a chance to
explode. My poor husband has stitches on his right
hand, a nasty burn on his left hand.
I think it's time for a vacation. Time away for him to
relax. Or maybe it's time up the life insurance policy.
I really think it's time for a vacation.
If any of you have an extra good luck charm could
you please send it my way.....LOL.....
On the bright side of things I am working on getting
pictures of all my projects that I have completed and
I will be posting them soon. I also having been
getting some of these things on my Etsy shop.
Hopefully my next posts will be of my creations and
not more of the crazy life I lead.
Until my next post Have a Splendid Afternoon!!!!

Bird in Cage

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope to find you all rested from the weekend and ready
for a new week.In my header picture is a card that I made
about a week ago.  I was playing around with a technique
that uses gesso and mesh from fruit bags. You really can't
see it in the pictures, but what is done is that I layed the
mesh on the white cardstock and dabbed gesso on it. It will
then need to sit and dry. Once it is dry distress inks are
then used to give it a dimensional effect. I like how the
background came out to bad you really can't see it in the
picture.
The bird cage and the vines are cricut cutouts and the corners
were done with a corner punch.
Ok on to my dilma.
The picture below is of a card that I posted the other day. The
reason I am posting it again is that when I first started playing
with digi's when I would save them I made the mistake of not
jotting down who had created it. Since then I have learned that
when saving digi's to make sure to title the digi with the creators
name. So many of you have commented on the digi and I just
have no idea who created her. If any of you know who it is
please let me know so that I can give credit where credit is due.
If any of you could help me out I would be greatly appreciative.
Reminder:
HIMCR has it's color challenge going on until friday.
NMWC has their monthly challenge going until the
end of the month. We would love for you to join us.
Until my next post Have a Splendid Day!!!!!!!

My Dog Ate My Project

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope to find everyone doing well and staying healthy.
I'm going to start today with do you remember your
school days when you tried to use every excuse in the
book as to why your homework wasn't completed?
Well sometimes those things really happen. In my
header picture is my boxer Shelby looking so sweet
and innocent with her binky. Cough Cough, she isn't
so sweet and innocent. Take a look at the pictures below.

Lately it has been crazy around my house as many of you
have read in other posts funerals, emergency room visits
anaphylactic shock, bug bites etc. etc. I think that Shelby
is getting even for us being gone so much lately. Mind
you I don't think she actually pulled my craft projects down
from my work area I really think that our 110 LB dog knocked
it off with his tail and she just took care of it. I thought I better
take pictures and show you. This is not all of it some of my
rubber stamps were also destroyed as well as a couple of my
projects but I cry looking at those pictures that I didn't want to
post them and make some of you cry. For a couple of weeks I
have been barely getting my projects in for the design teams
that I'm on. Not because they weren't done. They were done but
destroyed. The dog ate my projects!!!! I have felt like killing the
dog but I can't hurt my husbands princess. I have felt real bad
because lately I have had one excuse or another. For this
reason I have decided that once my term is up I will step down
from the design team that holds weekly challenges even though
I have been asked to stay. I just feel that I am becoming a
burden to my leader and I do not want there to be any bad
feelings. I think that this is what is best for all. This month will
be my last month with HIMCR I really enjoyed working with
all gals Laurie, AJ, Jessica, Jennie, and Angela. These gals are
like sisters very loving, kind and supporting. I wish you all
the best. Thank you design team sisters.
Until my next post have a Splendid Day!!!!!!

A Ten Minute Card

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm just trying to hang in
there. In my header picture is a card that I made in ten
minutes. Graphic 45 was having a contest wanting to get
crafters/ card makers to see what they could come up with.
There is a very nice prize. As you can see this is what I came
up with. A very simple looking card. Below is a close up.

For this card  I used black cardstock and a beige piece of scrap.
The scalloped trim is actually the left over after punching some
cardstock with a decorative edge for another project I made. Most
crafters would throw this part away well not me. I save them and
use them every now and then. The image is from the Graphic 45
The Magic Of  Oz Collection.  I added red glitter to the lions red
bows. Added some black pearls and three punched flowers. I also
put some black pearls in the center of each flower. So there is my
ten minute card.
Don't forget that the new challenge blog No Matter Which Challenge
starts their first challenge in a couple of days follow the link below
 for the details.
also
there is still time to join in at HIMCR for their challenge. Follow
