Altered Blue Bucket

Good morning fellow crafters!
Loving the cooler temperature we are having these days.
Mid seventies work for me. Hope everyone is doing well
and enjoying the fall weather like I am.
Here is another bucket that I altered. I will be giving this
bucket to my friend that does some beautiful floral work.
This same friend and I will be doing a few shows together.
Once she does the floral work I will make sure to get some
photos of the finished product.

I used Gesso to cover what was a red bucket with white
snowflakes. I used a sea sponge to dab on some blue
paint. I cut out the Bird image from the Kaiser Craft True
Romance Collection. Used Mod podge to adhere it to the
bucket. Cut out the floral stems with my Cricut using the
Potpourri Basket cartridge on white cardstock. I used ink
to give them a soft green color. The picture doesn't do it
justice. I like how it turned out. Hope you like it too. Kind
of a quick post today I know but I have so much to do
and I didn't want to skip a day blogging. I'll share some
of the other things I have been busy doing that are not
craft related soon.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!

Blue Happy B-day Card and some news

Good Morning fellow crafters!
Hope to find you all doing well and staying dry. It's been
a real wet day here. The rain started early yesterday morning
and continued late into the night. We really needed the rain
to help put out some of the wild firers that are still burning
around here. The rain should be tapering off today we'll see
if that really happens. Enough of the weather lets move on.
My card for today is another box card. This one was a special
order.

I'm not going to bore you with this box card and how it
was made. Instead I'm going to tell you about some thing
new that I'm doing. Well I decided to bite the bullet and
and jump on the video making wagon so to speak. I made
my first haul video and posted it on Youtube.  I have been
putting this off because well I don't like to be in front of a
camera and I really hate my voice. My daughter and son have
been urging me to do videos but I kept making excuses. I
finally gave in. If you would like to check out my video it's
under Tuesday Morning Haul by PaperSewnVisions.
This is one of the changes that I talked about in one of my
other posts. There will be more changes happening and
soon I will be able to talk about them. So stay tuned.
Hope you like my card. Until my next post Have A Splendid
Day!!!!!

Jack O' Lantern Card

 Good Morning fellow crafters!
Hope you are all enjoying the weather. We are looking to
get some real needed rain. I hope that we do and that it is
enough to help with the wild fires that are still burning.
My card for today is a Halloween card of sorts. Below is
the inside of the card.
Yesterday I told you about working on my husbands
family tree and told you about the dilemma trying to
find out what tribe he belongs to. Well on the other
side of his family tree we found out that Daniel Boone
is his great, great, great, great, great  grandfather. Yes
thee Daniel Boone. That was neat to find out. This is
probably not all that exciting to you so I'll move on to
my card and what I used to make it.

The image and sentiment are  Graphic 45 Place In Time
Collection. The image is placed on a simple mat from
Colorbok Rust shiny specialty paper. The maple leaves
were cut out with the Cricut and I used stickles on them.
The acorn is from my floral stash.
This was a quick and simple card. Hope you like it.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!

Autumn Box Card

Good morning fellow crafters!
Hope you are all doing well. I am keeping my days full
crafting and doing some preparation for winter especially
since today marks the first day of Fall.
I thought that it would be fitting to post my box card that
reminds me of fall because of the colors.

I  continue to add a tag to these cards. I know you are
probably getting tired of seeing these style of cards so instead
of talking about my card I will tell you about another project
I have been working on.
I have been trying to research my husbands family tree. He is
part Indian and he would like to know what tribe he belongs to.

Right now we are at a road block because his great, great, great,
great grandfather is registered as one tribe along with his son but
not the daughter which is the link to my husband and until we
know what tribe she is registered under we can't say what tribe
my husband belongs to. I spend my days researching and making
a lot of phone calls. Thankfully yesterday my husbands 4 great
grandfathers tribe agreed to help us. Now I have to gather all the
paperwork that we have and send them copies and they will be
able to get into other tribes records without needing an act of
congress like we do. So wish us luck.
I hope you enjoyed my story and that you like my card, until my
next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!
Thank you for stopping by.

A Tag Fail

Hello fellow crafters!
Hope you all had a great weekend. My weekend seemed
to filled with many fails. Oh where do I begin.
I did some canning and not all my jars sealed so extra work
had to be done to save all the hard work already done. Did
that make any sense? It does to me. Can you tell my brain
is mush?
I did some crafting. This tag was one of the projects. I had
a vision of what I wanted it to look like. You know me I
try and use every scrap left from other projects.

Well it didn't turn out like I had envisioned. I won't toss
it. Maybe some time down the road a bolt of lightening
will hit me and I will do something else to it to make the
tag beautiful.

The cardstock is Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Collection.
I used some Gesso to tone it down. I added some Glossy
accents to the gingerbread man and some of the candies.
I made the boarder with a punch out of paper bag. The
sentiment came from the collection I just cut out a mat
to match.
I wasn't going to post this tag but decided that I would
just so that everyone understands that crafters and artists
some times have fails. We are not perfect. Life is lessons
either we make the best of them or we continue to make them
over and over. I choose to learn from them.
Sorry for the late post today. Have A Splendid Day!!!

Vintage Christmas card

Good morning fellow crafters.
Hope you are all doing well this Friday morning. We
made it to another weekend. Today I decided I would
share a simple Christmas card.
For this card I used Graphic 45 cardstock from the
Place In Time Collection. I cut out image from the
January page. I used some vintage lace from a stash
that I have. The foliage is punched out using the Martha
Stewart punch. The berries are from a stash of when I use
to do floral arrangements.

The inside of the card I used more foliage and berries and
added a mat that I cut out with a Spellbinders die. I also used
the snow writer on the foliage to give it that snowy look.
I'm in love with this card.  I hope all of you like it as much
as I do.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!

Fireman Card

Good morning fellow crafters.
Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the
weekend. I hope that you have something fun and exciting
planned. As for me I will be crafting, canning and maybe
stacking some firewood to keep us warm this winter.
Speaking about heat...LOL... here is another card that I
made for Beths Challenge to thank a firer fighter.

For this card the cardstock used is from Graphic 45 the
Communique collection. The Fireman is a Stampin Up
stamp called Fire Brigade. The sentiment stamp is old
and not sure who the maker is. A very simple card to make.
Hope you like the card. Until my next post Have A Splendid
Day!!!!

Snowman box card

Good morning fellow crafters!
Well it's hump day just a couple of more days and we
make it to another weekend. Can you believe that we
are half way through this month? It soon will be getting
cold outside. So here is my Snowman box card to remind
everyone what may be coming our way soon.

I have started to add a pocket to all my box cards so
that a tag will fit in it and the person who gives this card
to someone can add some special words to the recipient.

The tag has a blank writing area and on the opposite side
is coordinating cardstock.
The Snowman came from a stash that I bought at a garage
sale. The Snowflakes were left over from other projects.
I used some snow writers on the swirl cardstock that was cut
out with my Cricut. This isn't one of my favorite cards. I was
trying to create a winter wonderland and this is as good as it
gets. Thank you for stopping by. Until my next post Have A
Splendid Day!!!!!

Poinsettia Tag

Good morning fellow crafters.
Hope to find you all doing well and doing a little creating.
I know you are all thinking really Christmas already? What
happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving?
I have been working on things and I create whatever season
or holiday calls me that day. It may sound crazy to some but
that is how I roll. As you see today I am posting a Christmas
tag.

The tag was cut out with my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook
cartridge. The tag measures 3" x 7". The pattern paper is from
the My Minds Eye Santa Claus stack.
The poinsettia is a Tim Holtz die cut and I also embossed
it with the embossing folder. I used Smooches to color it.

The banner I cut out with my Scan N Cut. The stamp is
from Cloud 9 Design Christmas Joy collection. A very
simple tag to make.
Hope you like this tag. Until my next Have A Splendid
Day!!!!!!

Christmas mini mini

Good morning fellow crafters.
Hope you all had a great and productive weekend. I had
a full weekend. Did some baking, cleaning and canning. I
also got a little bit of crafting time in.
Here is another one of the minis that is made with the base
being a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock. I know you have seen
them before. Below are the pictures of the rest of the pages.

The pictures pretty much talk for themselves so I won't
bore you with a lot of chatter.

Very simple pages. Not much embellishing.

The only thing that I don't like about this mini is that
the words are upside down on the back cover.

My advise is to not use card stock that has very bold
images or with words.
Last picture is one of the three mats that go in this mini.

Hope you like my mini. Thank you for stopping in.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!

A Little Playful Penguin

Good Morning fellow crafters.
We have almost made it to the weekend again. Do you
have plans? Will you be crafting? What ever it may be
I hope that you just enjoy your weekend.
My card today is a little on the cute side. A little friend
of mine had some fun coloring this image and I put  the card
together for her.

A side view of the card.

The border of penguins is a Martha Stewart punch called
Playful Penguins. The snowflake paper is from my stash
it is a couple of years old. The mats were cut out with Scan
N Cut. The image is a rubber stamp that I have had for a
few years.
I am really trying to use up a lot of the old paper that has been
hanging around for a while and has moved with me from one
state to another. I don't know if any of you are like me. I
buy when things are on sale and just keep piling it up telling
myself that I need to use what I already have and not add
more to the three foot pile. I am also trying to use every
punch that I own at least once before the end of the year. I
am also trying to use my stamps a little more.
Well I hope that all of you are a little better than I am at using
what you own. So until my next post Have a Splendid Day!!
Hope you like my card.

Red Rose Box Card with a twist

Good Morning my fellow crafters.
Hope to find you all doing well and enjoying your day.
I have a full day ahead of me along with a full next week.
Things may be a changing around here again. Won't know
for sure until the 19th of September. Keep your fingers
crossed for me.
My box cards have taken a little twist which you'll get to see
and understand once you see the pictures below.

With a customer making a request that there be a place
where a little note can be put for the recipient I added a
pocket and a tag.

The tag is plain and blank for a special note to be written
on one side and on the other side is the red rose paper.
The pocket is attached and not removable.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and embossed on
white cardstock, then I used embossing ink and black
embossing powder heat embossed. The red rose paper
was some scraps left from a valentine card many moons
ago. The black cardstock came from Big Lots in one of those
value packs. The flowers are Prima called Fabric Fancies in
Garnet and Opal. I really love how this card turned out. It
is my favorite for now.
Hope you like my card too. Thank you for stopping by.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!

Thank a Firer Fighter

Good Morning fellow crafters!
Hope to find you all doing well and creating. Sorry for the
late post but I got a little occupied and almost forgot. Todays
card I made for a youtube challenge that Beths Scrapbook Room
is hosting. The challenge is to make cards to thank the firer
fighters for all the work they do to keep everyone safe.

For this card I used Fire Brigade Stampin Up set (the helmet). I
embossed the silver cardstock with Spellbinders Harlequin
embossing folder. EK Success boot print stickers. The blue
mats are a Spellbinder die and a Cricut cut out. The thank you
stamp is so old that I have no idea who the maker is.
I know this is a quick post but I wanted to get it up before I got
into some heavy work and forgot again.
Hope you all like the card. Until my next post Have A
Splendid Day!!!!

Clean and Simple Christmas card

Good Morning fellow crafters!
Hope everyone is doing well and creating a little. As you all
can see I am keeping myself busy creating.
I created a simple Christmas card. I am trying really hard to
use a lot of my scrap paper. I have a pretty big pile of scraps.

For this card I used a sentiment from the Dazzles Christmas
Greetings Sticker collection. The green branches were cut with
a Martha Stewart Punch. The Poinsettia not sure who the maker
is but I got these last year, and the cardstock well it's a scrap so
not sure what collection its from. If you really need to know
what collection the cardstock is from I'm sure I could try and
find it and let you know.
I am having fun trying to use all my scraps. Playing around
trying different combinations that I would have never even
thought of trying.
I have entered this card in the challenge/ challenges listed
at the end of this post.
I love how clean and simple this card is. Hope you like it too.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!!!

Baby Boy Mini

Good Morning fellow crafters!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and made some time
to create.
I did a little creating in the kitchen this weekend. I helped my
husband make five summer sausages. I also made some zucchini
bread. Some may say that my kitchen crafting is not crafting
but I say it is. LOL. I did get a little time in my crafting corner too.

Sorry that this post is a little picture heavy, but I just had to
let you see every page of this mini.

I used a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock to create the base of
the mini. Some of the cardstock may look familiar as they
are scraps from other projects.

I created pockets, tags and photo mats with scraps.

The dinosaur border is an EK Success punch.
Yes the mini is a little plain but I didn't want to over
embellish it.  If that actually can be done ( over
embellishing) The mini is for a boy and not a frilly
kind of a girl

Well if you made it this far you've seen all the pages in
my mini. Hope you like my mini. Until my next post

Altered Shabby Chic Bucket

Good Morning my fellow crafters!
Sorry I'm a little late in posting today, time got away from me.
Hope to find everyone doing well.
In the header picture is the finished product. A Shabby Chic
Bucket.
The bucket used to be red with snowflakes on it. I used some
Gesso to cover the red.

The picture above is what it looked like after the Gesso
was put on. It take two coats to cover up the red.
I then took some really light pink paint and with a sea
sponge dabbed it on. Really like how that looked on the
bucket.
I used Kaiser Craft True Romance Collection. The
12 x 12 sheet has embellishments, tags, and frames. Mod
podged one of the tags onto the bucket. Made one rose with
a punch. The stems I cut using my Cricut  and the Potpourri
Basket cartridge.  My bucket was done.

It was fun altering something to re-use instead of tossing it.
Hope you like my altered project. Until my next post Have
A Splendid Day!!!!!
