Christmas in July

Hello Fellow Bloggers,
Hope everyone is doing well. No I'm not crazy if that's
what your thinking. Most of the bloggers that we follow
have an Etsy shop and in July as do many other stores
they have a sale which they call Christmas in July. I just
want to remind everyone and that it's never to early to start
buying for Christmas. You might find that something that
you were looking at and wanted but didn't really want to
spend that much. You just might find it on sale now. In my
header picture is a card that I coloured the Santa. I like
how he turned . My colouring is getting better don't you
think? I still have a ways to go though.

Card Recipe:
Patterned paper by Me and My Big Ideas
Bazzill cardstock in white, red and green
Rubber stamps: Recollections, and
Stampin Up
Watercolors
Stazon black ink
Embellishments: Bubble stickers
Craft ribbon
Glitter

Hope you all find some great sales. I'm going to enter
this card over at Christmas Card Throwdown
I haven't done a challenge in some time now....LOL...
Until my next post Have a Splendid Day!!!!!!

Proud American

Hello Fellow Bloggers,
Hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe. Today in
my header picture is a card that I made to celebrate the 4th
of July which is around the corner. I cut out the star on my
cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I then added
glitter trying to make it look like a flag. The small satrs were
a little harder to get to work out. I made the best of it I guess
you can say. Not great but it'll do. I stamped a few more
stars on the card and outlined the edge of the card with a
black sharpie. In the picture below you can read what the
sentiment says.
This sentiment is a rubber stamp that I picked up at a
yard sale that was not mounted and I have no idea who
the maker is but I like it.

Hope you all like it too. Until my next post have a
Splendid Weekend!!!!!!!

water colors.
We would love it if you joined in and played along.

Trying to find Joy in Life

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well. I know I've been gone for a
while now. I will get to that in a moment. In my header picture
is another album that I had been working on. Below is a better
picture of the inside cover and the first page.

Well first off my camera is giving me fits some days it will
work and other days it will not. For now I'm trying to get
the hang of my sons' camera. The problem with my camera
is that it won't turn on sometimes unless I beat it on something.
I was finally was able to get it to turn on and got all the pictures
downloaded that were still in my camera.
It's been a very sad and hard emotional couple of weeks for
us. On June 5th my cousin who is pictured below passed away
at the age of 46. She is my cousin from my dads' side. Growing
up we were best of friends more like sisters. Her siblings were
a bit older than her and I had no sister. I was the oldest of my
family. All our cousins were either way older than us or way
younger so we had each other. We did a lot together growing
up. I had returned to my home town 4 years ago and we were
seeing each other more regularly we were making plans for this
summer. Things we won't get to do together now. I miss her
deeply.
Enriqueta Katie Reyes

In the picture below is my cousin Felix Jr. Avila and his wife
Nina. My cousin Felix passed away yesterday. He was 63.
Felix is my cousin on my moms' side of the family.

He too was a big part of my life when I was a kid. We hadn't
seen much of each other lately but as spring and summer got
here I was expecting I would because we always caught up with
one another at the car shows that went on around this area. I
did know how the family was doing because I would visit with one
of his daughters often.  He will be missed by his family he was
the rock that everyone could lean on.

I have not really crafted much lately other than making Sympathy
cards and let me tell you those are not easy for me to make.
I appologize to my design team leaders and my design team
sisters for being absent. Services for my cousin Felix won't be
until the 22nd so it's going to be a long week for us. I ask you
to please find it in your hearts to pray for my family that they
find comfort in God and his teachings.
Thank you everyone for being so understanding. Until my
next post Have A Splendid Afternoon!!!!!!!!!

Tag for Monthly tag swap

Hello Everyone,
Hope your day is going well. I'm trying to catch up on some
things in life that I have let slip by. I'm almost caught up at
least that is what I think. Speaking about what I think. In my
header picture is a tag that I made for a tag swap. I just love
this stamp. What do you think about this stamp? I'm going
to tell you a little secret. The stamp I used is from Kitty Lane
Stamps. I had recieved a couple of stamps from this company
to use in June for one of the design teams that I'm on.
Kitty Lane Stamps is the sponsor of this months challenge at
LIIU. I liked this stamp so much that I used it for Mays tag
swap that Creatively Out of Control hosts. I didn't post this
tag until I had done my project for the design team and the
challenge was up. Like I've said time and time again I am
crafting there are just some things that I have to wait to post.
At the end of this month I will drive you all crazy posting all
the things that I have made....LOL...

As you see I kept this tag clean and simple because I wanted
the stamp image to stand out. Now don't forget that I would
love for you to join in on the challenges that are currently going
on at LIIU and HIMCR.

Another Year

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your last day of relaxing
as tomorrow starts another work day. Sorry in posting so
late today. We were a little busy I'll get to that in a minute,
but for now we'll talk about my header picture. Yesterday
was the start of some new challenges. One of the challenges
is over at LIIU and the other is at HIMCR. Yesterday for
HIMCR I posted the cover of my circle mini album. What
you see in the picture is some of the pages of the mini. The
challenge was to use Red, White and Kraft well I didn't use
the Kraft until I got to the inside of the mini.

As you can see I put a frame on the first page where a photo
can be added. On the second page I put a tag. I did a couple
of different things to the other pages and I'll post those later.
So as I promised here is another part of my repurposed mini.
Ok so now back to why we were busy. Today is my youngst sons
birthday he turned twenty-five. I think I have reached old age
now....LOL........ It is also mine and my husbands Anniversary.
In the picture below I cut out the Happy Birthday Casey on my
Cricut late last night and hung it on the wall so it would be the
first thing he see this morning.

It was actually three in the morning when I did this and if you
look closely you will see that some of the letters are backwards.
Oh well it was the thought right?
Now don't forget about the challenges over at LIIU and HIMCR
we would love for you to play along. Follow the links below to
join in and remember to have fun.
