Is your grass green?

Hello fellow bloggers.
I know it's a little late but I got busy and forgot to
post a blog earlier today. A little update on Marion, doctors
say she has parainfluenza stage 2 which is not good for
the health issues she already has. I ask you to continue
praying for her and her family. Thank you!!!!
Now to my card.
In my header picture is just another card I made.

The card is made of many scraps that came from other
projects that I have been working on and some of the
cardstock I don't even know where it came from. The digi
is from Paper and Prints. Thank you paper and prints for
allowing me to use your digi. The grass was done with
a stamp from Fresh Impressions and the sentiment is
an Inkadinkado stamp from the You Are Invited set.
I thought about making the grass less green since well our
grass is still brown but decided that green grass was
better.
Hope you like my card. Until my next post Have A Splendid
Evening!!!!!!!

A request for Prayers

Hello fellow bloggers!
This wasn't the post I had in mind today but I come
to all of you with a request. Several times I have
talked about the sweet girl  in my header
picture and that how she adopted us as her
grandparents. Last night she was rushed to the
hospital. For those of you who might not know
Marion was broght into this world fighting for
her life. She has MS and a multitude of other
health issues. She is in the hospital today fighting
once again. She has pneumonia with no sound in
in her right lung which is not good, she is running
a high fever and is on 40% oxygen. I am a believer
in the power of prayer. So my request is that you
send out a prayer for her and her family.
Thank you in advance.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!!

Thrifty Tuesdays

Hello fellow bloggers!
Hope to find you all doing well. Looks like i'm getting back
in the groove of things....LOL..... Well in all honesty not
really. I am real busy taking care of some things that will
be bringing some big changes in my life but I have to keep
it to myself for a little while longer. So let me get to my
header picture. Now that the holidays are over at least the
big ones that make some of us want to pull our hair out..
ha ha ha.
All the pictures on my post are some of the items that I
purchased at all the after Christmas sales.

Cardstock that ranged from seventy-five cents a sheet
down to twenty-five cents a sheet (Teresa Collins, My
Minds Eye, Graphic 45 etc).

Paperstacks that ranged from three dollars to fifty-nine
cents.

I know that new products will be coming out and this will
be the old of last year. To me it makes no difference if it's
last years as long as I can create something with it.I had to
stop at different craft stores to get the bargins but I was
already out there so why not stop at every store.
For those who are on a tight budget it's the only way to go.
As I have said before I want to show everyone that you can
create on a budget and here is some of the proof. Hope this
can be of some help
So until my next post Have A Splendid Day!!!!!!!

Keeping my New Years Resolution

Hello fellow bloggers!!
Hope to find everyone doing well and staying warm.
Can you believe that I am still keeping up my New Years
resolution? We are almost into a new month so I knew
that I better get my Christmas card done and posted on
my blog. If you read my blog you know that last year I
was very behind in making my Christmas cards so I
made a New Years resolution that I would make a
Christmas card and tag every month so as to maybe
get ahead of the game. Speaking of games will you
be watching the Super Bowl or will you be out shopping?
I will be home watching the game only because I need
to use all my craft supplies before I buy any more...LOL..
I think I have a stack of cardstock maybe three feet tall.
Ok I'm rambling so lets move onto the card I made.
Below is what the card looks like inside.

Card Recipe:
Red and white cardstock
Pattern paper from My Minds Eye (Santa Claus)
Rubber stamp: Stampendous
Poinsettia
Water colors
Tim Holtz Distress ink (tea dye)
Seam binding
Spellbinders Nestabilities (Floral Ovals)

Hope you all like my card. Now don't forget that
No Matter Which Challenge Blog begins a new
challenge soon and there are a great group of ladies
that will help inspire you to join in. So keep reading
and watching for the new challenge. Until my next
post Have a Splendid Evening!!!!!!!!

Spanish style with a little chicken mole

Hello everyone!!!!!
Hope everyone is being safe and staying warm. I'm trying
my best to stay warm around here. Sorry that I have been
away for sometime now but can you believe that I finally
have blogger working right? My pictures are uploading
normally so it's not such a chore to blog anymore. WooHoo
In my header picture is a card that I made on a challenge
from one of my cousins. She made a comment about my
cards needing to have a more spanish flair and this is what
I came up with. It still didn't pass my cousins standards.

When I think spanish I always think of all the iron work
on the doors and windows of the homes thus that is the
affect I was going for with the heart and the punch used
for on this card.  This still wasn't good enough. Oh well
I tried.
To try and make her agree that it was good enough I
tried bribing her with some chicken mole. My interpretation
of spanish style.....LOL.........Like what
you see in the picture below and I even made
homemade flour tortillas

The food filled her stomache but the card still did not
fill her heart with joy. I guess I will have to try again.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Evening!!!!!

Carnations blooming in my dreams

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm.
Our tempeture is slowly climbing up there. We
have gotten up into the twenties. Boy can you
really tell the difference. In my header picture.
is one of the new cards that I made. The carnation
stamp is a Stampin Up stamp from some years
back and I'm not sure what it's called.
The white carnation is made from the Mother's Day
Bouquet Cricut cartridge. The butterfly is made with
one of my new EK Sucess punches.
I guess that I'm hoping/ dreaming for spring to arrive
soon and planting flowers on alot of my cards lately.
You'll get to see what I mean as I post the cards that
I've made recently....LOL...
I want to Thank the NMWC Design Team for  all the
birthday wishes yesterday. Awesome and talented
group of ladies. Don't forget to stop in and visit
the NMWC blog and see who all made the design
team. New challenge starts in February at NMWC
blog. Until my next post Have A Splendfid Day!!!

Tickled Tuesday

Hello fellow bloggers!!!!!
Hope you are all having a great day and staying warm.
We are freezing my direction . When I got up this
morning it was only 18 degrees outside. Thankfully
I am still working on organizing so I'm moving alot and
staying warm.
In my last post I kind of let everyone know that I had
received some new craft toys over the holidays. In
my header picture is a few things that I have cut out
with my Big Shot and a couple of dies that I got along
with the machine. I also got Xyron sticker machine
which will help when I have some really small items
to glue onto my projects. Most of you know that I
would have never bought any of the machines mentioned
unless they were at a awesome discount price. Thank you
family I was tickled to pieces. You know me, looking for
that great bargin on crafting supplies. Just so that you see
what I mean take a look at the picture below.
I received a gift card and went to Michaels when they
were clearing out alot of the Christmas items. All the
items you see in the picture were twenty-five cents per
package. This is only a few of the things that I bought.
I have gotten really bad about getting the camera and
taking pictures of everything before I put it away. Sorry
about that.
Now that I'm almost organized it makes it so much simpler
to find what I need and makes the crafting process faster.
I am currently working on some albums and DT projects.
I have a few projects that I finally got around to taking
pictures of them since we actually have sunlight. So until
my next post Have A Splendid Afternoon!!!!!!!

My Crazy Valentine

Hello everyone.
Hope you are all enjoying your saturday. I'm still
working on getting things organized and I'm still
fighting with blogger to get my photos to download.
I finally bit the bullet and went through the long
process of getting my photo uploaded. In my header
picture is a card that I made using scraps. I'm trying
to use up the scraps as much as possible.

Since I'm trying to use the scraps I really don't know
who the paper company is that made the papers that I
used in this card. I have been using up the scraps by
cutting flowers, frames and such out. I've been stamping
tickets and cutting them out too.  Maybe this will make
it easier and faster to get a card made. All I will have to
do is dig out the die cuts that are already made. Wishful
thinking right? Right!
I will have to show you some of the new toys that
I recieved. I have been having fun with all my new
crafting toys.
I would also like to remind everyone that new
challenges begin in February over at NMWC Blog.
There are also some new faces on the design team. If
you get the chance stop in over there and meet the new
very talented ladies.
Until my next post Have A Splendid Evening!!!!!

What? A Resolution and how I got around the picture posting issue

Posted by Picasa
Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone is having a fine saturday.
I'm having an issue with blogger and so that
is why this is late in the day. My issue with
blogger is that it won't let me upload my
photo to my blog, but I managed to get
around the problem. If you would like to
know how I'll give you the steps at the
end of this post.
Well by looking at my header picture you
will see that I am trying to keep up with
the New Year Resolution that I made. If
you can't remember what it was let me
remind you. My resolution was to make
a Christmas card and tag every month so
that maybe I would not get behind like
I was last year. Here is my tag for the
month.
Tag Recipe:
Cardstock: Christmas Cottage (Teresa Collins)
DCWV Glitter Stack
Sierra Pacific craft stack
Corrugated Papers (Write Stock)
Bow made out of Raffia
Snowflake and branches(Martha Stewart punches)
Deer  (Tim Holtz die)
Bling embellishments (Recollections)
Stamp (Studio G)
Tea Dye Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)
Stazon Black ink

I am entering this tag in the challenges below if
I can get the picture to upload.....LOL...
Simply Create Too  (Anything Goes)
Stuck On U Skethches ( I deer-ly love Christmas)

Ok so as I went to blogger to report the
problem of not being able to post my
picture onto my blog I read that I am
not the only one having this problem. It
has been an issue since friday for some
of us. This is how I got my pictured
uploaded to my post. I went to my Pictures
file on my computer and double clicked on
the photo that I want to post
which opened it up with my Picasa photo
viewer then I right clicked on the picture. It
gave me a drop down menu and on that menu
I clicked blog. It put the picture on my blog.
I then copied and pasted it again. I haven't
found a way to do more than one picture. I
hope this helps. Until my next post Have
A Splendid Evening!!!!!!

What's your dream?

Hello fellow bloggers and a Happy New Year!!!!!!
Here it is day one of the new year. I hope everyone is
doing well so far. What are your hopes and dreams for
the new year? This year for me will be bringing some
big changes, just not to sure when exactly. I will be sure
to blog about it when it does happen though.
In my header piture is a mini album made from a 12 x12
piece of cardstock. I know we just made it to January of
the new year and looks like I'm already working on
Valentines projects. Not so this is just a mini of love.
The following pictures are of the pages inside.

I'm thinking about adding an envelope to the first page
because it looks like it's not finished. If I do I will take
another picture of it and post it later.

The next picture is the back cover.

This was a pretty fast project. I think I will be making
a few more of these.
This last year I felt that I got so behind on everything
that I decided that I will be working at making at least
one Christmas card and one tag a month. So if you see
that I have not posted a Christmas project for the month
I would like all of you to help me by reminding me
.....LOL....
I'm off to start putting away some of the decorations.
Until my next post Have a Splendid Day!!!!!!!
