Flowers and Succulents

Hello everyone!!!!!
Here we are into the month July. Many crafters are
doing Christmas in July. I will be sharing some of the
things that I have been making for Christmas too in
my posts off and on.
In my header picture is a bucket that I found in a thrift
shop and decided to do an arrangement with the types
of flowers that most of us would find in our gardens
about now.
The photo below is another bucket I found at the same
thrift store.

As most of you know I like to recycle,or revamp.
Well I got on the succulent kick like everyone else
and used the bucket to make the succulent
arrangement. The bucket was sitting in my craft
for a few months. I am so glad that it isn't going
to be sitting around collecting dust.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a great Sunday!

A Little Farmhouse

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you are all having a good summer so far.
Many of you who know me know that I do a little bit
of everything craft wise.
I have taken my vinyl to another level and am heat
pressing vinyl on canvas and framing it. Header picture.

Before I get into the other vinyl picture let me tell you
about the month of June in my life. With our Boxer
depressed we were looking to find another dog so that
she would have a buddy. In all reality I was not ready
for that especially since I would be the one responsible
to train it. My husband put the word out that we were
looking for something smaller than a pitbull. He decided
we needed something like a Jack Russell or a rat terrier.
My sister-in-law found a Manchester Terrier at the animal
shelter she volunteers at. So now we have this seven month
old pup who loves to test me and I really don't think that
our Boxer cares to have it here. I will get a picture of him
downloaded soon.
On to my next project.

In the picture above I used 651 vinyl on painted wooden
blocks. I have so many other ideas as to use my vinyl on,
so stay tuned.
Thank you for stopping by. Until next time stay safe and
create on.

Not sew paper

Hello everyone! Hope that you all have been crafting
away. Wish I could say that I have been doing the same.

April brought a job change for my husband and it also
changed pay day. We went from being paid twice a month
to getting paid every week so I had to get my act together
and figure out how to pay all the bills. So as not to think
to much I went back to my old of making floral arrangements.
The pictures that you see are a couple of arrangements that
I made using the wooden embroidery hoops.

The one in the header picture and the second picture are
about a eight inch hoop. The last picture is and
arrangement done on a sixteen inch hoop.
I got lost in the month of May we had a family member
that was ill and passed away. Not really expected because
he was doing pretty well after bypass surgery.
A couple of weeks later I had to put my pitbull down. We
had him in our lives for nine years. That was a little hard
for me since Diesel was there for me when I had my close
call with death when my gallbladder had burst. He was
there for me when my appendix got a tare and another
emergency surgery for me.
After Diesel was gone our Boxer went into a depression
and she had to be taken to the vets so I had to nurse her
back to health. I was so glad when May ended hoping
the June would bring better things.
I will tell you about my month of June in my next post.
I have to sit here and laugh because I have always said
if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
I know that I had promised that I would be blogging
but no more promises because it looks like life just
doesn't allow me to keep my promises.
Have a great evening. Hope to have more for you
soon. Thank you for stopping by.

I like to ride my bicycle

Hello everyone!!!!
Today I have a little something different that I tried.
In my header picture is a child shirt that I made
using glitter heat transfer vinyl. Yes so far it doesn't
sound to different I know but I did not use a cutting
machine (Scan N Cut, Cricut, etc.) to cut the bicycle
out. Can any of you guess how I cut out the bicycle?

Well if you haven't figured out let me tell you. I used
a die and ran it through my Big Shot. The die is a
Crafters Companion die that I bought at Tuesday
Morning.
You know us crafty people we always have these
crazy ideas and well this was one of them for me.
I wanted to see if I could actually get a die to cut
through heat transfer glitter vinyl. As many of you
know glitter vinyl is a bit thicker then regular vinyl.
Low and behold it worked. I did have to run it
through about four times to get it to cut clean
through. In some areas it did cut through the
carrier sheet. I had to be real careful when I weeded
it. In one case I did lose the carrier sheet on one
of the bicycles. Thankfully HTV glitter vinyl is
a little sturdier and I just made sure that I used
my Teflon sheet to protect it from damage when
heat pressing it.
It really is true we can learn something new every
now and then.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!!!!

A Shirt for MOMs

Hello Everyone!!!!
Wow can you believe another post from me. Totally
amazing isn't it. Hahaha.
In the header picture is a t-shirt that my crafting
partner created.
Some time back I had let all of you know that I was
headed on a new venture of creating SVG cut files with
my crafting friend Sally. Here is one of those other life
changes that is happening in my life.
(Below is the shirt made in a different color)

I can't blame anyone but myself for this change. Last
year I wasn't really motivated to create like I normally
do. If I really would have paid attention I would have
realized that something physically was wrong with me.
To make a long story short I ended up having an emergency
appendectomy. It has taken me a little bit of time to get
back to normal which is what happens when we get older.
Sally is headed on a new venture so I do not know
if she will have the time to devote to our creating business
so I may be on this on my own. Time will only tell.
She has had to make decisions that are best for her
family and I totally understand. Hopefully in the next
couple of weeks I will be able to let you know more
about that.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great day!!!!

This little Piggy stayed home

Hello Everyone!!!
If you know me I have my hands in just about every
type of craft there is. Here are a couple of cards that
I created. In the header picture is my little pig card
that I made trying to stay in the Farmhouse style that
is the in thing right now. The pig stamp is from a
Stampendous set called On The Farm.
Below is another card that I made.

I created this card using an In'spire die from Spellbinders
called Howling that I bought at Tuesday Morning. Just so
that everyone knows the die is one piece so what you see
in my card is the yellow moon I did some creative die
cutting and piecing together to get it to look that way.
If you just cut the die out it would just cut the wolf with
the outline of the moon.
So because I have the Brother ScanNCut and I can design
anything I want I have been working on creating some
svg files that will help me downsize the amount of dies
that I own. I have been creating my own labels that I can
use with my stamps. I will be doing a destash video soon
so keep an eye out for that.
Thank you for stopping by.
Enjoy your day!!!!

Full days with Heat Transfer Vinyl

Hello everyone!
Well glad to be back. So many things are changing
in my life. My daughter and son-in-law will be having
a child in October. I will find myself with a full life
of creating and sewing. My daughter has a mile long
list of what this grandmother needs to make. LOL.
Well with being a crafting grandma here I had to make
my granddaughter Hazel her special Easter Bunny. I
went to my cutting machine and cut out her name and
heat pressed it to the bunny in the header picture.

Since I was playing with heat transfer vinyl and I
had a craft show that I did last weekend I went ahead
and created a few t-shirts to sell. I worked at creating
a unicorn was not real happy with the unicorns horn
so I will work on it a little bit more.

As I said life has brought some changes and one of the
changes is that my husband did a job change. It was a
very difficult decision because my husband really likes
his old boss but the work was just not there. My husband
was putting in about twenty- seven to thirty hours every
now and then some weeks he sat at home. It made it
very hard for us financially.
With our kids and grandkids not living so close to us we
decided that we had to make changes if we want to be
able to see them often. So here we go on another roller
coaster ride. Getting use to a different work schedule
and a different pay day schedule.
I to am making some changes to my Etsy shop and also
my YouTube channel.I will tell you a little more about
that in my next post.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
Thank you for stopping by.

Wedding Gifts

Hello everyone!
Here are a couple of things that I have been doing with
vinyl. In the header picture I worked with heat transfer
vinyl and heat pressed it onto footies. I made these
to sell at the shop in town. As the weather gets warmer
weddings become a big thing so I am hoping that some
of these things will generate revenue in the shop.
Below is a split letter monogram that I made for my
son and daughter-in-law.
This picture frame split letter monogram was made with
651 vinyl and put on a picture frame. I still have not given
this to the kids because I am using it in the shop as a
example hoping to get some special orders. Hahaha.
I will make another one soon to have at the shop and I
will give this one to the kids. At least I hope to.
Thank you for stopping by.
Enjoy your day.

A Glittered Thank You

Hello everyone!
Hope to find everyone in the craft world doing well.
I have been busy organizing my craft and I almost
have it where I want it. I hope to share my craft room with
everyone soon. In the mean time here is a Thank you card
I made using some glitter cardstock which I picked up
at a yard sale last year. I made it a shaker card and used a
Hampton Art rubber stamp that I bought from Big Lots
a few years back. The picture for some reason does not do
it justice. Looks a lot better in real life. Maybe I need a
new camera.
I am trying to use some of my stash. I also have been doing
some de-stashing. I have been listing some of the cardstock that
I am getting rid of on my Etsy shop. Most of it is Graphic 45
cardstock.

I have also been working with heat transfer vinyl and
because I am new to this I have made a few mistakes
like forgetting to mirror so the words are not backwards.
Hopefully putting a reminder on my machine will help.
If this reminder doesn't help I don't know what else will
Hahaha. Oh Lord help me.
Thank you everyone for stopping by. Hope you all
have a great day.

My Wild Side of crafting

Hello fellow crafters!!!
Before I show you the t-shirt that I designed you must get
to know my granddaughter Marion.
Pictured above is Marion she has a couple health
issues and just a few years ago she had to have rods
placed in her back. She is the most positive and go getter
that I have ever met she does not let her disabilities
slow her down.
Below is a picture of Marion along side her parents, my
husband , our son and myself.

Marion has a very complex sense of humor. Her gramps
(my husband) and Marion have this contest of name
calling and try and come up with some weird names for
each other. I really don't get it. They also try and outdo
each other in come backs.
I know she can be strange sometimes just look at the
next picture.

Well Marion turned 16 last year and because of her disabilities
will never be able to drive. So my husband wanted me
to make a shirt for Marion to lift up her spirits and so
the verse he had seen on some web sight not sure where
and well I just used shapes from the Sure Cuts A lot program
to make it look like a person in a wheel chair and my husband
wanted me to add flames which I did. Later I did find
something similar is already created. Any way my
interpretation of what my husband wanted is pictured
below. It is not meant to offend anyone. Marion loves her
shirt and her mom and I have come to the conclusion that
we may have to operate to get it off of her. Hahaha.

I know that my post was a little long I am sorry.
Thank you for stopping by and reading a little about
my crazy family, Have a great day!

Husband in the house

Hello fellow crafters!
Well I missed a week of blogging. I have been organizing
my craft room and so I decided I needed to destash some
craft items. I have been spending time uploading things to
my Etsy shop.
Well this week that I thought I would have time to get some
real crafting done my husband was at home most of the week
because of the bad weather. He wanted me to make some hats
for him so that is what you see in the first picture.
Well in order to use the hat press first I needed to make some
of the heat press pillows. So off I went to get the materials to
do that. Below in the picture is the heat press pillows that I
made. Yes I do know how to sew. Hahaha
Once the pillows were done then I had to change out the
flat heat plates for the hat press which is pictured below.
Well I am not the bit impressed with the heat press but
I did get three hats done for my husband.

I don't know if any of you who own heat presses have done
anything with the hat attachment but I found that it does not
sit square with each other that is the plates and even using
the heat pillows I had to rotate the hats side to side to get all
the letters pressed on. I would like to hear from others if
they have tried their hat presses and any tips they may have.
I also got a shirt done and I will share that in my next post.
I have been a little apprehensive about sharing it. Not that it
is rated R but that someone might take it the wrong way.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

I love my Pitbull

Good morning fellow crafters!!!!
Looks like maybe just one new post for this week.
Not because I have not been crafting but because the
weather has been unseasonably warm here in Southern
Oregon.
Last September I ended up in the hospital for an
emergency appendectomy that I couldn't do certain
things like work out in the yard so with the weather
being so nice I am taking advantage of it by getting
out in the yard and catching up on the things that
didn't get done.

In the header picture is some small treat boxes
that I made. The small one holds one Hershey kiss
the bigger one will hold two.
The picture of the Pitbull is an svg file that I created
it will be for sale in my Etsy shop this weekend.
I am working on creating svg, cut files that can
be used on just about anything glass to fabric and
everything in between.
I hope that this inspires you to try new things.
Anything is possible!!!
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Welcome 2018

Hello my fellow crafters!!!!!!
I know it has been better than six months since my
last post not because I made a choice to stop blogging
just things in my life got hectic.
Life brings changes kids grow up, get married, have
kids of their own etc. Before I go into more detail of
my life the pictures are of a new venture I am on.
A cutting machine and vinyl.
(dish towel and HTV)
Last year I became a grandmother. To be honest I
wasn't real excited about it not sure why but I really
wasn't feeling happy or excited about anything. In August
I took a class to learn more about my new cutting machine
the Brother ScanNCut and the Sure Cuts A Lot program.
The infamous and knowledgeable Jen Blausey came to
Medford Oregon to teach a group of us. If you have the SNC
machine Jen has a facebook page and a YouTube channel
under Brother ScanNCut,
Even after learning from the best it seemed more like a
chore then being fun.

(Pot Holder)
In September I ended up in the hospital for an
emergency appendectomy. Looking back I believe
that this was a lot of the problem as to me just not
excited or joyous in life. I wasn't finding joy or
happiness in crafting, gardening or anything else.
As I recouped then my daughter got married the
first part of November then the holidays snuck up
on me .

(Pot Holder 2)
I took all of January getting all my tax things in
order and also organizing and rearranging my craft
room since I have also added a heat press to my
crafting tools. I don't plan on giving up the paper
crafting I am just branching out. Hahaha.
I will gradually get back into blogging again
along with getting more merchandise into my
Etsy shop.
I hope for now to blog maybe a couple of times
a week so stay tuned.
Thank you to those that e-mailed me concerned
as to what has been going on and to make sure that
I am ok.
Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.
Enjoy your day!!!!!!
